Khatoo Shyam Ji Temple, situated in the town of Khatoo in Sikar district, Rajasthan, is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India. Dedicated to Lord Shyam (Barbarika), the grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata, the temple holds immense religious significance as it is believed that worshiping Shyam Ji fulfills devotees’ wishes, especially when done with a pure heart.
The temple, built with white marble, is known for its spiritual charm, architectural beauty, and sacred atmosphere. The annual Phalgun Mela, held in February–March, draws lakhs of devotees from across India who come to seek blessings, participate in bhajans, and witness the grandeur of the festival.
Khatoo Shyam Ji is also called the “God of Kaliyug”, as it is believed that those who remember his name with devotion are relieved of their troubles and blessed with prosperity. Apart from the main temple, nearby attractions include Shyam Kund (holy pond), Shyam Bagicha, and Gopinath Temple.
